What’s on my desk

November 6, 2018 by Ally Leave a Comment

To discover all of the items, which I keep on my desk and the special significance behind each item, keep reading to discover what’s on my desk alongside the comfiest of chairs to keep me motivated in working and creating for hours.

What’s on my desk?

1. An agenda/weekly planner

While I do make use of the built-in calendar on my smartphone, I still write down all of my appointments and meetings in a traditional agenda, which I keep on my work desk at all times. As I find it really useful to quickly scan through each week, to see what meetings I have to prepare for.

Instead of opting for a traditional black agenda, I opted for a rose gold agenda, that brightens up my work desk.

2. A notebook

I also have a notebook sitting on my desk, which I use to jot down any ideas which I come up with.

3. Leak-proof drink bottle

In order to stay hydrated and focused throughout my working day, I keep a leak-proof drink bottle filled with water on my desk.

4. A digital photo frame

I also have a digital photo frame on my desk which I have programmed to display a variety of my favorite photos of myself as well as my family members and friends. As I’m also a keen traveler I also program my digital photo frame to show photos from all of the countries which I’ve been lucky enough to visit in the past.

5. A large folder/binder

I also have a large binder on my desk, which I use to immediately store any business related letters which I receive in the mail. To make sure that my documents don’t get damaged by everyday wear and tear I make sure to fill my inexpensive binder with clear file pockets, which will protect each piece of paper from damage.

6. A decorative mug

I use a decorative mug which a loved one gifted me in order to store all of my pencils, pens, high lighters and markers.

7. A lamp

As I often find myself working late into the evenings I have placed a decorative lamp on my work desk to provide myself with a bit of extra lighting.

8. Fresh flowers in a vase which I purchased overseas

In order to bring well-needed color into my office, I purchased a small vase on my travels, which I fill with fresh flowers twice a week. Every time I look at my vase of beautiful, colorful flowers I instantly feel more positive.

9. Bluetooth speakers

I also have Bluetooth speakers on my work desk, which I conveniently use to play tracks from my Spotify account. As I find it much easier to work with a bit of background noise.

10. Headphones

I also have a pair of rose gold headphones on my desk which I use, when I take business calls.

11. Bluetooth mouse

As I work on a laptop instead of on a desktop computer, I also keep a Bluetooth mouse handy as I find it far more convenient to use a separate mouse than my laptop’s inbuilt mouse.

I also love the size and amount of space I have in my office, which really allows me to give it my own comforting feel. If you’re looking for some furniture for your office, www.furniture-work.co.uk is a good place to check out. I also recommend adding plants in your office to help keep the air clean and fresh feeling!

Hopefully, you enjoyed learning about all of the items, which I keep on my work desk and may it inspire you to add some uniqueness to your own desk and office.
