How Do You Write a Paper or Bachelor’s Thesis?

November 19, 2018 by Ally Leave a Comment

Writing a paper is not easy and requires some effort. Below is a brief summary of how you can approach this. We always speak of a paper and / or bachelor’s thesis, but you can of course apply these tips to every written assignment, especially in essay making, though in emergency situations where you don’t have enough time, hiring a cheap essay writing service is recommended.

Preparation

Good preparation is half the job. First think carefully about what you want to achieve and what information you need. What are the expectations? Carefully read the guidelines you receive. In these guidelines you will find the expectations of the lecturer regarding the type of paper, the size of the paper, the structure of the paper and the assessment criteria. If you do not have this information, you can contact the teacher as soon as possible.

Structure

Before you start writing, it can be interesting to create a structure. You put the big lines on paper and you can shape your text using key words.

Write

Once you have a structure, you start writing. What do you say? Is that precisely your problem?

If a topic interests you, you should start reading something about it. This way you get to the subject matter and terminology and you get a view of the different aspects of the subject. It is not the intention to read very detailed, but you can already save promising articles. Interrupt your reading activity for a brainstorming. You can possibly use a mind map. This should enable you to formulate the subject of your paper in a concrete way. You can only start your paper if you know which question you want to formulate an answer to. If you do not have a specific question in mind, chances are that you will just write everything about a certain subject. Demarcation is therefore the message.

At the start it is important that your question is concrete, on the other hand your answer does not have to be concrete. It is tempting to formulate a kind of answer and then to look for evidence and ignore everything that contradicts your answer. This will not benefit the quality of your paper and especially your argumentation.

Maybe, a language teacher will advise you to ignore it, but … believe us anyway. When writing a first version of a paper, do not be too critical about sentence structure, style, word choice, size, etc. It is easier to correct a first version and then make adjustments to write a perfect paper from scratch. First write down what you have to say, in a way that you find clear. Do not necessarily search for the most original sentence or those words that can make the most impression. The trick of great writers is rewriting many – often miserable – versions.

Refer

Correct reference is very important if you want to deliver a good quality paper and / or bachelor’s thesis. In this way you also avoid plagiarism!

Rewrite

Rewrite your paper several times and also allow sometime between the various writing sessions. If you leave a paper for one or more days, you can read it with different eyes.

By doing the above advice you can gradually practice your writing skills.
