Happy 4th of July

I suppose I should have thought of a more interesting title...but this will be a simple post with some pretty photos.

Over the weekend, we went to a 4th of July party at our friend's house.  Beth and Neal have the coolest old house.  Beth is a very crafty girl!  She has an awesome craft room, makes great recipes, she knits, and she has a knack for decorating.  I took some photos of her patriotic decor.  It looks so nice on their old house, which was built during the 1800s.

Love the flags in the Mason jar - what a great idea. I'm guessing it's filled with sand to keep it from falling over?

Yes, there was sand in the bucket.

Hey... nice pics! (winks). Nicole, I got a bag of play sand at Home Depot last summer. I keep it in a kitty litter bucket and my barn and re-use it for decorating. :) Beth

Your photos hit the spot today. An older, a cared-for home, blue flowers, American flags -- some of my favorite things. Thanks for starting my day right.
