Kitchen Organizing, Again

I spend a lot of time organizing the kitchen.  And re-organizing it.  Here's my latest project:

We had this large plastic container that we've been using to organize our plastic utensils.  It was old, and breaking in spots.  Plus, it was awkward to lift.

I bought these plastic bins and labeled them with scrapbook sticker letters.
We have plenty of silverware, but once in a while, I grab plastic utensils when we are on the go. I know; it's a bit overboard.  However, when I need just a spoon, I can lift the spoon bin out.  Plus, I lowered this shelf in the cupboard so I could reach it more easily.  I'm a shorty!  This is so much better.

Do you have a small project that you can do in your kitchen, or anywhere in your home, to make your life easier?  This only took fifteen minutes, but I'd been putting it off for ages!

I love anything to do with organizqation, and I think your plastic utensil organization is fantastic. I agree, the plastic utensils all in one bin just make a mess - this way, you can put your hand right on what you need. Great job!

Stopping by from the Creative blog hop. That project made your storage a lot cuter! I love our roll-out cabinets; they really help me de-clutter. But, they took a little longer than 15 minutes :)

Doesn't it always seem like we put off the SIMPLE projects more often than not!? This is great -- now let's see if I'm inspired to organize something!

Organizing and labeling are possibly my 2 favorite things ever! (wow how lame does that make me?!:) ) I just did some kitchen utensil organizers myself but it was for my baking, cooking, serving stuff (I would love it if you checked it out!). This would go perfectly with what I've already done in my kitchen. Thanks!

These look great! Good job! I love organizing anything and everything. Last year I got out the label maker and went crazy labeling everything. This year I really need help with my kitchen cupboards - pots, pans, glass dishes. The dishes especially are awkward, oblong and don't stack well. Any ideas?

Love your blog! :)

Just discovered your organizing blog tonight and love a lot of your ideas. Now that silverware bin(black divided one)..how do you keep them clean from dust, etc. and where are those stored? I have lots of plastic silverware that is now stored in a Tupperware celery keeper somebody was throwing out. Now it is not separated..if that black silverware tray had a cover..that would be perfect. Guess you could always put plastic wrap over the top and secured with masking tape or some other type of tape(not duct tape)

I love such ideas. The kitchen is typically the most used room in the house. It's where everyone wants. That is why kitchens must be as organized as we want to be so as to provide a great and clean environment for every family member. For me, a healthy kitchen means a healthy family. Thanks!
