Great Medium Green Find

We found some great medium green teacups recently.  Wooo hooo!  Medium green is the most rare type of vintage Fiesta Ware.

The color is a very specific green.  Medium green looks a lot like the "John Deere" tractor green.  If you collect medium green, you need to be careful.  There are two other vintage fiesta greens; light green and forest green.  Sometimes the greens are labeled incorrectly.  If you handle vintage Fiesta often, you really get to know the difference in colors.

We found two medium green teacups. They only cost $10 each!  In excellent condition, they are worth about $60-$75 each.  These are in excellent condition.

We were really excited to find these teacups.  Have you ever had a great find like this?

Congratulations! It is fun to find something like that. I bought the first Fiesta I ever had -- Shamrock -- at St. patty's this year. It's new, but I really like the way it feels and the weight of it. Now I am thinking I might have a new addiction.

Once at an auction we bid on a box of Corelle dishware. After we bought it, we found 8 orange (red) Fiesta tumblers. The box cost us $5.

Nice going! It demonstrates that the more you know about whatever you're collecting, the more success you'll have. You scored.

Your photos show off the beautiful glaze color and the classic shape of the cup. I grew up having Sunday dinners on Fiestaware. Even though it was designed for everyday use, my mom saved it for Sundays, and saved the really good stuff for Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter. Crazy.

What a superfind. Finding any old Fiesta is difficult these days but these are even more so. I love my Fiesta ware! Shows where I've seen Fiesta or had it mentioned: Two and a Half Men; movie 'About Last Night'; An episode of 'Northern Exposure'. I'll have to think of more.

No, I never seem to find good buys when I am browsing like this. It may be that I truly do not need anything at this stage. You were lucky in your cup find.
