Coke Crate Vignettes

We bought an antique Coke crate recently.  I've been thinking about what I want do do with it.  I was playing around with some little "vignettes", so to speak.

How about some Fiesta Ware, with the vintage spelling books for some height?

I just love the graphics on this box.  I've been looking for a Coke box for a while, I was excited to find this one for only $12!

I'm saving the Coke crate for when we decorate the family room.  Do you ever save decorations for future projects?

I love it with the billard balls in it! I got a Pepsi one from Pottery Barn but I would much prefer a Coke one (says the Diet Coke drinker!). Coming over from Met Monday - and your newest follower!

I have that yellow fiesta pitcher. It shows up on my blog a lot too, in the background on my pictures. I LOVE IT!

I love the Fiestaware. Somehow the vibrant colors against the duller distressed red is complementary.

I like the third picture/vignette best! Very cute...I'm a fanatic for trays so you can use that for all kinds of stuff, especially if you have company or a big party!

I love the coke crate. The color is very nice. My favorite is with the blue jars but they ALL look good. That was a very good price.

I'm not even a very crafty person and oh yes, sometimes see something that I HAVE to have. Does it ever make it into a finished project or decor? Ummmm .....

Oh, yes, I save plenty of things for future projects, and sometimes wish I didn't. More often than not, they get used.

I like the blue jars vignette the best, but they all show what a good eye you have.

Thanks for sharing. I hopped over from Between Naps on the Porch.

Love the coke crate. I have one with a divider in the middle. I'm getting ready to use if for a "candy bar" at the kids end of the year school party. I'll fill it with plastic popcorn bags filled with different candies. You'll find this piece to be so versatile and it's great to carry around with the handles :)

I have a GREAT antique/junk shop about 30 miles from my home town...and they literally have tons of everything that you can imagine...including a stack of Coke, Pepsi and Dr.Pepper cases taller than I am....several infact! I bought two for $6 each...they are the kind that is divided into 4 sections...I have them hung on the wall and use them as a display case for smaller "junk" items! Back in the day my Gma and Mom got the ones that had the individual slots for the bottles painted the outside, and lined the inside with material...they used them to display their interesting minature collections!!! I however prefer the rustic look of leaving them as I found them!

I have one just like it! Believe it or not, I spotted it in an alley behind a bar while driving past on the street. I made a quick, illegal (shhh) u-turn, drove into the alley, stopped next to the pile of plastic crates, opened the door, grabbed MY wooden one, flung it on the back seat, and sped away...just in case! lol That was 20-some years ago, and it's still my prize. My grandfather was with me at the time, and kept looking at me out of the corner of his eye, with a horrified look. It's in my guest bathroom now, holding extra hand towels and tp.

Love the crate! I have a very similar on that's RC Cola. It sits on top of my fridge with a cheerful red geranium, and old soda bottle, and a vintage yellow and red pitcher. I actually stopped by from FJI, but then recognized your blog title since you commented on mine. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
