It's Snowing, The Power is Out, and I'm Annoyed

No, this is not an April Fool's joke! It's April 1st, and we're having a snow storm here in New England.  The power is out, and our generator is on.  I'm using one of the working outlets for my computer.

Surprisingly, we still have internet, and our phone connection.  I'm trying to finish up this post before the internet goes out!

I had planned to do some cleaning and other chores today that use electricity.  DARNIT!  I guess I could clean the bathroom, but I think I'll sit here for a while instead. Ha!

Handy Boy had no school today, and Handy Man is working from home while we have an internet connection.

Does anyone else have snow today?  Anyone else as tired of winter as I am?

I am just SO glad I don't live wherever you are right now! We just moved to the Seattle area where it does rain a lot but at least it doesn't do that. We had our share after five years in PA. Hope you enjoy a great book and some hot cocoa today!

Oh thank goodness there is NO snow here! Where are you that it's snowing in April? Here in the midwest, a snow this time of year is called God Snow...God brings it and God will take it away!! Have no idea why they only say it about spring snow....thinking that's how ALL snow is! But the sun is shining and I'm happy with that! Hope you're back to normal soon...love your blog!

I added it to the post, but we live in New England. Crappy weather here! we usually don't get snow in April, but we do need to run the heat almost all month, unfortunately.

(For some reason ny first comment didnt post) ha ha here in utah the snow starts in october and goes through may. I've even seen it snow into JUNE! And the we have 100 degree weather in july and august. Sorry about your snow day and the power being out. That can get very annoying.

Bummer. It's beautiful, but I imagine that you'd be sick and tired of it by now. (I won't tell you that it's 85 degrees here today.)

This has been a long winter for us too. I feel for you but to be honest I am glad our area didn't get more snow. Let the melt begin!

Remember the huge storm in mid April back in 97? I remember we missed classes at KSC and it was unheard of to close college!!

We ended up with 2 inches from this round....just enough to cover all the grass...and we just lost all the snow this past week!

I live in Ohio but telecommute to my job in VT...when I saw an email from work about the weather there, I was sure it was an april fool's joke!

Stay warm!

I'm in Connecticut, we only got about an inch as we are located in a valley. Second snowiest winter on record with 85", I don't want to see anymore white stuff.

I am from MA but I am in TN visiting my sister this week. I LOVE snow, but this winter had me dreaming of warmer climates. I feel sorry for everyone who put up with an APRIL storm! Spring, where are you??

Stay warm, Crafty Woman! You have an excuse now to take some downtime. Unplug, and don't feel guilty. That's what power outages are for.

I am so sick of winter, cold and snow too! I'm in Ohio and we had 4 days of 70 degrees then back to 40 degrees and snow. I'm so glad we didn't get as much as you though! Good thing you have a generator. When our power goes out we just have to wait for it to come back on. Hopefully spring will get here soon! Hang in there!!

I think we are supposed to take from this that Mother Nature has a wicked sense of humor?
