Guest Post by House of Hepworths

It's time for a guest post from my bloggy friend, Allison, from House of Hepworths.  Alison is one of the sponsors of our blog.  I'm guest blogging over at her blog today, also. Allison has a wicked awesome blog, with a funny writing style, and great DIY projects. Read on to learn more about her blog:

Hey, Handy Man, Crafty Woman fans!

I'm Allison and I blog over at

(My family: Ben, Me, Travis, and Kinsey)

I LOVE crafting and making cute decor for my home. Here are a few crafts I've made recently. If you click on the links you can read about how I made each one.

My Painted Soap Pump and Knife Block have been a crowd pleaser.

My #1 most viewed project on my site are my cupcakes in cones. I'd love for you to stop by and see how I made them.

You may have seen my dryer vent pumpkin floating around blog-land in the Fall. It was a fan favorite!

And my Cheese Dome turned Cloche is probably my most copied project of all time.

I don't just blog about crafts though. My family recently moved into our new home so I've been doing a lot of painting, renovating, decorating, and adding tons of moulding!

I recently painted and added tons of box moulding, chair rail, and window moulding to our Formal Living aka "piano" room.

The piano room is s-l-o-w-l-y coming together. I make frequent updates to this room and I'd love it if you
followed along on my journey!

I'd love for you to stop by and see my most recent update to the Piano Room!

I just recently started decorating our Family Room as well! Here's what
we started out with:

And after much obsessing we settled on these colors:

If you'd like to see how the room looks now you can see the
painted and updated room here
. ;)

I also love giving tips about
painting, organizing, and decorating!

I recently gave a tutorial on how to add moulding to walls with rounded corners.

And Voila...

Perfectly square corners just waiting for your moulding! You can find out how I did it here.

If I had to pick a favorite home decor project from this past year, I think I'd pick my wheat grass tins. I made these using ugly tins form Goodwill and some fake wheat grass ordered online.

And one more thing about me. I love home renovations. I will look for things to renovate. LOL. My most favorite renovation to date is my Master Bathroom Makeover. I'm very proud of this room and more proud that I tackled it myself.

Before & After:

If I had to categorize what type of blogger I am, I'd say I'm a Home Blogger. House of Hepworths is filled with tons of crafts, DIY projects, renovations, and everything in between. If it has to do with my home (or me!) I'll blog about it!

I'd love for you to
stop by and poke around. If you leave a comment it's an added bonus! ;)

You can find me blogging at House of Hepworths & you can stop by and chat with me at my Facebook Community. I've always got lots of chatter and fun stuff going on over there!

Thanks so much to Laurie for letting me blab on and on about my blog! Laurie is a great friend and I'm thrilled that we've been able to get to know each other through this amazing, crazy world of blogging! She's got a great blog and frequently knocks my socks off!

Thanks so much, Allison! It's been fun reading your blog, and getting to know you.
