Candy Heart Jar Decor

I've been seeing so many cute Valentine's Day decorations and crafts around blogland.  A few days ago, I decided to make a decoration using one of our antique Ball Jars (which I once posted about here.)
I picked out a jar and washed and dried it thoroughly.  I then put some conversation candy hearts into it.

It needed a label or tag, I thought. I took out some of my scrapbook punches, and punched out some hearts.  After considering different ribbon options, I decided to go with simple string.  I used small white letter stickers to write out "Love."
If you had 3 jars, you could do this and use 3 different tags, saying "I" "Love" "You".  That could make a pretty display.

I also thought that this would be a cute gift for someone who might appreciate a Ball Jar.  You could also use these for a table centerpiece for a Valentine's party or dinner.

Have you made any Valentine's Day crafts?  Tell us about them.  You can also post a link in your comment to a Valentine craft or decoration you've made.

Very Cute -- I have a shelf on our back porch and filled some old Ball Jars with wooden "cranberries" at Christmas time to display. I removed the snowmen and added a few hearts around them and they are still going strong for V-Day.

I really enjoy your blog - thanks for sharing all the great ideas. I think we may almost be neighbors - I am in Manchester, NH!

Some people are just gifted with ideas. This a nice one for any old jar. I did have some very vintage freezer jars, but never kept them as did not figure I would need them.
