Boy Card for a Baby Shower

Crafty Grandma and I have been invited to a baby shower. I bought the gifts this week, but forgot to buy a card. Oh well, time to crack out the scrapbook and stamping supplies, and make one. I made a "New Baby Girl" card a few months ago, so I knew I could handle making another card.

Remember, I'm more of a scrapbooker than a card maker.  I like my cards to be simple.  I picked out some cute blue paper, and some white paper.  (The invite said the baby was a boy...I hope they're right, since I made this boy card!)
I'm going to write a message in here, so it won't look so nekkid afterward. I just love those cute little baby hands and feet!

Pretty cute, huh? I had thought about adding something else to the front of the card.  I know that card-makers add things like buttons and ribbons to their cards to embellish them.

However, when I try to add those things, I get frustrated because they come out crooked and don't look right. I still may add a sticker to the front of the card, but Handy Man says it's ok.  (What the heck does he know?) Ha ha.

I even used a couple of cute stamps to decorate the envelope.
Have you tried to make any cards?  How did you do?

The simplicity of the card makes it darling! I have yet to venture into card making, but I love to see others!

It's adorable! I know what you mean about embellishing the front. I think it looks great. Handyman was right!

I like the front as is too, very simple and clean. I like to make cards but don't do it nearly often enough, usually end up waiting till the last minute and stopping off at a shop to buy one anyway, Ha!

Here from PP, have fun at the shower.
