Fun, New Picture Hanging Tool

Have you ever had a hard time hanging pictures on a wall? I always make Handy Man help me, but sometimes we still struggle with placement.

I saw an ad on TV for this product, and I looked it up online. It looks so helpful!

It's called "Hang and Level, The Picture Hanging Tool." Here's the site where you can look into more details about the product, as well as videos on how it works: Under the Roof Decorating.

Normally, I wouldn't write about a product without using it first, but this looks like a great tool. What a simple solution for such a common problem! I think we have to buy one and try it.

Handyman: "Huh? Another excuse to go to a hardware store? Suhweeeeet!"

Has anyone else used this product? Tell us about it. It looks like you can purchase this tool for around $15 at places like Lowe's, Home Depot, and Ace Hardware. Note: We are not receiving any compensation for talking about this tool, I just came across it and wanted to share it here.

Tell us about your mishaps with photo hanging! We've dropped photos, hung them in the wrong spot, etc. I have some blank space in our family room addition that will need photos; and a spot in our stairway where I'd like to hang photos as well.

I saw this at Lowe’s the other day after having seen the commercial. It looks great. However it looks just like an idea I saw quite a while ago where you take a paint stick and put a nail halfway through it near the end of the non-handle side. You hang your picture on that nail, and holding it by the stick position the frame. Then gently press on the picture where the nail is and it will leave an indentation in the wall right where you need your picture hanger to be.

Same basic concept, only FREE!

Yeah, that's another way to do it, I guess. I'm a sucker for doo-dads.

I saw these on a show recently too….can’t remember what it was. It’s a great idea.
We have 2 big pictures (1 horizontal and 1 diagonal) that I wanted to hang on a wall that has a sloped ceiling. I had such a hard time figuring out how to hang the pictures so they looked even but worked with the ceiling. It took me a few tries to get it right…don’t look behind the picture LOL!

For ease in leveling a picture with a sawtooth picture hanger, or even wire: use 2 small nails side by side, instead of one centered nail. If the picture gets bumped or hit with a nerf ball, or if you live by railroad tracks, this self-leveling tip should help you! I have 9 grandkids, so this has proved very helpful whenever I need to hang a new pic.
